Grandmother bought this for my 3 years he loves building things with his hands. These toys are excellent quality. The pieces are nice and chunky and perfect for his little hands and fingers. They are hard (not flimsy) and the threads in the nuts and bolts are nice and strong, unlike some other knock-off toys we've played with before. It is so fun to see my son build things and look up and say, " Look dad, it's a plane/cat/etc." Using the ratchet/screwdriver is so good for his fine motor skills as well. And they come in a nice strong tote that fits the toys and is strong and durable. These will be toys we keep throughout our children's lives and into our grandchildren's lives. We loved these so much we bought the other larger set.

for my 5 year old kid. This is a great toy played for nearly an hour (unheard of) while I was doing my laundry no interruptions!

My cousin seemed to like it. I like that it comes in a plastic box that can be locked, easier to bring places. Pretty nice toy.comes with pictures of different things you can build, so you can either help build it and if they're old enough, they can build it alone.... My cuz just turned 3, so he definitely needed help putting things together, but had fun! This can definitely help expand imagination since the possibilities of what you can build are endless. I did notice that one of the plastic bolts chipped a bit on the top, but that was only 1 piece, and it still worked perfectly fine. Great toy overall, would recommend!
